  Societies

A number of Societies exist to further the intellectual curiosity, cultural awareness and spiritual development of the pupils. Some are open to all members of the College, some to those in particular year groups and doing particular subjects and others by express invitation. Meetings usually take place in the evenings although many of the Societies arrange outings to theatres, concerts and exhibitions. Bradfield’s position makes it ideally suited to take advantage of venues in Oxford and London for such purposes.

Societies at Bradfield cater for every possible interest – literally from the stars (the Astronomy Group) to more earthy matters (the Pang Valley Conservation Group). In between these extremes will be found every form of intellectual and cultural stimulus.  Whether pupils enjoy fierce debate or philosophical contemplation, film making or creative writing, there will be something for them.  All pupils are asked to participate in at least one Society meeting each term, although many will attend more than this minimum.
