The College offers a wide variety of sports for both boys and girls and its reputation for competitive sport is extremely high.
Major sports for girls and boys
The major games for boys include football and cricket and for girls lacrosse and netball. Hockey, tennis and swimming are major games for both boys and girls. The quality of coaching is extremely high and includes staff with experience of coaching and playing at international level. In all these sports the College enjoys conspicuous success, and the range of teams in each year group ensures that all pupils can participate fully in competitive sports, whatever their level of expertise.
Additional sports for girls and boys
In addition, Bradfield offers a wide range of other sports which run alongside the major games and provide pupils with an excellent opportunity to develop leisure interests that will often last them a lifetime. Aerobics (including aqua aerobics), athletics, badminton, basketball, canoeing, climbing, cross-country running, dance, fencing, fishing, fives, golf, horse riding, polo, sailing, shooting, squash, weight training and water polo are a sample of activities on offer.
Facilities
The facilities are first class and include a double sized Sports Hall, a 25m indoor pool, an indoor Tennis Centre with three courts, two floodlit All Weather Pitches, a nine hole golf course, dance studio and conditioning room. Pupils also have the opportunity to tour abroad and recent trips include Sri Lanka (cricket), Spain (football), Barbados (netball, basketball and golf) and Singapore and Malaysia (hockey).
