International pupils (13+ and 16+ entry)
Bradfield College welcomes international pupils, currently from some twenty five countries. They constitute an important part of our pupil mix and enrich the educational experience for the whole College community. Our international pupils generally achieve excellent academic results and make important contributions in many other areas of school life. These include the fields of music, drama, theatre and sports.
Admissions procedure

Appointments for 13+ entry can be made up to two years prior to entry; appointments for 16+ entry can be made up to one year prior to entry. Candidates should expect to be at the College for at least two hours on the day of their interview.

Offer of a place
On completion of the Admissions procedure, successful candidates will be sent an Offer Letter and Final Entry Form which should be returned to the College together with the Guarantee Fee. All offers are made subject to the Terms and Conditions of Entry.
Language support
The College has a dedicated EAL Department which supports those international pupils for whom English is second language and provides timetabled tuition leading to examinations. Junior School pupils follow an initial foundation course at intermediate level, progressing to First Certificate in English and IGCSE English as a Second Language in the Fifth Form. Sixth Form EAL teaching aims to further enhance pupils’ skills for studying in the medium of English both to ensure attainment of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) university entrance requirement and to maximise A Level achievement. The Department also offers individual or small group private tuition for those who need or desire, extra support.
