Faulkner's
College life begins in Faulkner’s, an innovative, purpose-built house catering exclusively for boys and girls who join Bradfield at the age of thirteen. The dedicated team of staff provides sensitive guidance and pastoral care of the very highest quality, building on the happiness and success of years at Prep School, and supporting pupils as they begin senior school in a fully coeducational community. It is here that we lay firm foundations for the future, so that the confidence of the boys and girls is enhanced as they establish their own identities within the freedom and space of a home environment.
Senior Houses
After their first year in Faulkner’s pupils move into their senior house, one of eleven senior houses at the College. The focus on providing the highest standards of pastoral care continues as the pupils mature within the College community, with a dedicated team of tutors and resident matrons supporting each Housemaster and Housemistress in all senior houses.
Sixth Form
To become a member of our vibrant Sixth Form is an exciting transition. Many boys and girls - including international students - choose to join the College at this stage. Bradfield offers a generous range of options at AS and A2 Level, as well as preparing pupils for life at university and beyond. During these two years an increasingly adult approach is taken, both in the classroom and towards extra-curricular activities. Our Sixth Formers are role models in the College community and we expect them to demonstrate responsibility, both in their academic and personal lives. We believe it is equally important that they continue to broaden their horizons through outside interests, and to extend their ambitions so that they become the self-assured, articulate and motivated individuals for which Bradfield is renowned.
