Major works were deferred as a measure of financial prudence, to be replaced by activities necessary to transform the College into a COVID restriction compliant environment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1958\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bradfieldcollege.org.uk\/bradfield-for-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/www.bradfieldcollege.org_.uk\/bradfield-for-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/09\/20201013_094246-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1959\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bradfieldcollege.org.uk\/bradfield-for-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/www.bradfieldcollege.org_.uk\/bradfield-for-life\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/09\/20201013_094037-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Now corridors marked with blue arrows indicating one-way systems, hand-sanitisers at doorways and \u2018wear your facemask\u2019 signs are part of the new College landscape, watch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bradfieldcollege.org.uk\/blog\/2020\/10\/01\/how-we-are-staying-safe\/\">&#8216;How we are staying safe&#8217;<\/a> to see the adaptations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS<\/h2>\n<p>In spite of this shift of emphasis, the hard-working estates team did manage to schedule some campus improvement activity, with the focus being improving energy efficiency in the Boarding Houses. Since then<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ere has been a lot going on behind the scenes\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0we have\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">successfully\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">secured 3 of the 4\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">planning\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">consents that we\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are seeking. Once we have the final\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">consent<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0we should be able to proceed with the purchase of the Church<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.
