The Music Department is challenging pupils to get creative during this period of Remote Education with a series of Remote Music Projects. These will cover everything from multi-tracking and song writing to ‘Live’ performances.
The Multitrack Video Performance, for our instrumentalists and singers, will see pupils create a video of themselves performing multiple parts of a song, recorded and edited by themselves.
Original Composition Pieces will exhibit the work of our talented song writers. These compositions can take any form whether it is something fresh or a piece of music written a few years back and being revisited. It is another outlet through which our pupils can express themselves during this period of isolation.
Finally, we will be hosting a series of ‘Living Room Live’ concerts, providing an opportunity for our musicians to perform and showcase their talents during a short concert. While the performances will be pre-recorded, each concert in the series will be premiered as a live watch through here on our website. The first concert will be posted on Wednesday 13 May at 12.30pm featuring Upper Sixth pupil Tom Houston (F).
