Olympic Shooting Experience

May 1, 2017

Last week (26 April), some of our promising young shooters attended the Schools’ Olympic Experience at Park Farm in Worcestershire.

The event, which aims to inspire the next generation to participate in the Olympic shotgun disciplines, saw pupils shoot rounds of Sporting, Skeet and Trap.

Despite usually shooting Sporting rather than Skeet and Trap, Bradfield won silver in the team event with great performances from Aaron (A) and Cameron (CL).

In the individual event, Aaron finished equal ninth, with Cameron in 13th place posting 21ex25 in the trap section, which was only one target off the top score of 22 posted by the eventual overall individual gold medallist.

Oli (AL) and Max (FL) who only started shooting in September, also put in very encouraging performances.

Sarah Daly, Bradfield’s coach who was also responsible for organising the event said: “There is a great deal of potential within our schools and it was brilliant to see very encouraging performances from so many enthusiastic young shooters.”
