Restless Triathlon raises £46,000

May 8, 2017

Thank you so much to everyone that joined us on Sunday for the Bradfield College Flight Centre Schools Triathlon. The event is now in its second year and going from strength to strength.

We had over 600 children taking part from 14 local prep schools, so far raising more than £46,000 to support young people locally and around the world. It was brilliant watching each child put an incredible effort into their swim, cycle and run – as well as cheering on their teammates.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered on the day, guiding, encouraging and supporting both kids and parents. You helped to create a really special atmosphere and we have had some very positive feedback from parents and teachers already:

“I just felt compelled to say thank you very much for organising the event yesterday. My daughter was participating with 3 school friends and this was the first triathlon event she had participated in.

The event was superbly organised, the helpers were out of this world – kind, encouraging….the guy who was helping the children start the bike race greeted each one as if they were the first – I was hugely touched by them. The setting was equally wonderful – how lucky to be allowed to use the school facilities and enjoy the day in such beautiful surroundings.

I hope that the event is repeated next year – we will be there!”

A big thanks to Flight Centre, Warmingham and Frog Bikes for sponsoring the event, to Human Race for all their hard work in advance of and on the day, and of course, a massive thanks to Bradfield College for hosting the event again this year.
