Michaelmas Concert raises mammoth sum for Cancer Research

December 10, 2019

The full array of Bradfield’s musical talent was on show at Friday’s Michaelmas Concert (6 December), the first major event in the College’s music calendar.

A packed audience of parents, staff and pupils enjoyed stellar performances from Bradfield’s flagship ensembles as well as some new pupil-led groups who performed everything from gospel music to drum solos, classical music to original pieces. An incredible 105 pupils participated across the evening.

During the interval, audience members were treated to some drinks and canapés at the sports complex and were invited to donate to the night’s charitable cause, Cancer Research UK.

The evening’s cause

This year’s Michaelmas Concert was in support of Cancer Research UK with Jack (H) creating an original song especially for the occasion. Jack’s Housemaster, Mr Hanbury as well as Mr Saunders ran the Huxham X on Winter Bradfield Day in aid of the same charity.

Thank you to everyone who came to support and gave so generously on the evening. To date, we have already raised over £20,000 and you can still donate here: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/michaelmas-concert-fundraising-page

We hope everyone had a wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing you again at one of our many concerts in the New Year.
