Our U16A football team rounded off an exceptional season with an impressive 3–1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers FC Academy U16 side, in a rare and exciting fixture that pitted school-level talent against a professional club academy, giving our players an experience that tested their skill, discipline, and teamwork under pressure.

Bradfield started nervously and went 0-1 down after 5 minutes, but regained their composure and organisation to deliver two well taken goals in the first half to lead 2-1 at the interval.  A well-timed second-half strike sealed the 3–1 win, capping a season that has already been marked by outstanding performances and steady improvement.

Bradfield’s Head of Football Performance, David Chatwin, commented:

“To play against a professional academy is a privilege for us, and to get a positive result was even more pleasing.  The team coaches have work very hard with the boys this season and this result that speaks volumes about the boy’s character, resilience and quality. They have embraced every challenge this season.”

The U16s’ success comes alongside an equally strong campaign from the College’s 1st XI. The senior side has advanced to the Quarter-Final of the Boodles ISFA Cup and currently sit 3rd in the Hudl Independent Schools League. To date this season, the 1st XI have played 13 matches — winning 8, drawing 3 and losing 2 — a record that underlines the depth and consistency of football strength across the school.

The 3rd XI as reported last week, were victorious against Millfield’s 2nd XI to take then through to the last 16 in their ESFA campaign.
