Congratulations to our 1st VII Netballers for their outstanding performance at yesterday’s Sisters n Sport National Netball Shield Final in Loughborough. After their brilliant performances throughout the competition as a whole, they headed to the final as one of the top four teams across the country. They provided a dominant display in their first match, winning 29-18 and progressing to the Grand Final, where they came up against a really strong Cardinal Newman College team which included three English College players. It was fantastic to see the girls rise to the challenge with a brilliant second half performance, which saw them match their opponents goal for goal. Despite a fantastic and unwavering effort, they came away as National Runners-Up; an enormous achievement which has left everyone at the College feeling incredibly proud! Congratulations and well done, girls!
