Bradfield College Performance Tennis
Open Day – Sunday 1 October 2023
Bradfield College, LTA Regional School of the Year 2023, combines outstanding tennis provision with first class academic and pastoral programmes, enabling pupils to compete and win at the highest level.
Since 2011 Bradfield College have won:
- Six LTA Regional boys’ & girls’ U15 titles
- Independent Schools League
- ISTA Youll Cup (boys U19)
- ISTA Loveband Plate (girls U19)
- ISTA Springthorpe Cup (boys U15)
- LTA Boys National Schools Finalists 2023
Bradfield College was also named as runner-up for the LTA National School of the Year Award having been named as both Regional and County School of the Year earlier in 2023.
The success of the College is centred around the Performance Programme which provides pupils competing in LTA, TE (Tennis Europe) and more recently, ITF events the opportunity to train 12 hours per week on court and also two sessions in our Strength and Conditioning Suite supported by UKSCA instructors. All this happens alongside the pupils’ academic studies and commitments.
Many of the players on the programme have gone on to achieve US scholarships as well as attending some of the UK’s leading tennis universities.

Criteria for applications
Year 9
- 10 & Under – LTA Recent form of 750
- 11 & Under – LTA ranking inside top 50
- 11 & Under – UTR ranking inside top 100
- 12 & Under – LTA ranking inside top 50
- 12 & Under – UTR ranking inside top 75
Sixth Form
- World Tennis Number of 17 or higher
- LTA ranking inside top 100
- UTR of 11 or higher
Overseas applications are welcome for those who are competing solely in Tennis Europe or ITF events.
