Pupils receive record IB results

July 7, 2017

The College is delighted with the results returned by its fourth cohort of pupils completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). An average of 36.3 points (out of 45) beats the record set in 2014 with the mode score a notable 39 points. 7s and 6s (usually considered equivalent to A* and A grades respectively) were achieved in 51% of Higher Level subjects: those in the range of 7 to 5 points made up 85% of Higher Level scores. These results – significantly above both global and UK averages – are all the more impressive given a cohort of 35 pupils.

Our congratulations go to each and every pupil and in particular to Julia (J) who secured 44 points. This places Julia in the top 2% of IBDP pupils globally. Pupils now leave the College to take up university places across the globe, from universities such as Durham and UCL in the UK, to Georgetown and USC in the USA.

Bradfield is delighted to see pupils from across the ability range thrive on the Diploma Programme. This year’s results are testament to the strengths and modern day appeal of this truly international qualification, upon which a further 45 pupils will embark in September.

We wish our IB leavers well in their future endeavours.
