December 18, 2017

The Bradfield and Elstree communities showed incredible generosity as they raised more than £13,000 for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust at a carol service in the College Chapel on 5 December.

This special service saw a packed congregation of 300 enjoy festive classics sung by Bradfield’s Musica Riservata Choir and Elstree School’s own choir. Presenter Mark Durden-Smith and double Olympic rowing champion Alex Gregory MBE also spoke at the service.

Clare Stafford, chief executive of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, said: “This is the first time we have held a Carol Service at Bradfield College and what a fabulous success it has been. We are so grateful to everyone who attended, our amazing local volunteers who helped organised it and of course to Bradfield College for hosting us.”

The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, based in Thatcham, was established in 1997 in memory of Charlie Waller and aims to raise awareness of mental health among young people, and reaches roughly 4,000 parents, teachers and pupils every month with free school training.
