Steeplechase: Then and Now

May 14, 2018

The Inter-House Steeplechase closed out the Lent term with over 800 pupils and staff, many turning out in fancy dress, competing for their houses and individual glory on the nearly 4 mile course through the College playing fields and surrounding countryside, which includes a splash landing in the River Pang.

The Steeplechase is one of the College’s oldest traditions. Below, you can view some rare footage from the 1925 Steeplechase that saw pupils scaling hay bales and horse carts and clambering over the weir.
