We were delighted to receive the news last week that Daniel (H), Jasper (H) and Luca (H) each won their respective categories at the Berkshire Music Trust Young Singer of the Year competition, with Luca also being crowned the competition’s overall winner!
This is another hugely positive result for the singing faculty and a memorable day for everyone involved, congratulations to all!
In February, Bradfield was proud to host the semi-finals of the competition, welcoming around 50 competitors across four vocal categories for a full and inspiring day of singing in the Music Hall.
The standard throughout the day was exceptionally high, making the outcome all the more impressive. We were thrilled that seven of the twelve places in the final went to Bradfield pupils. Congratulations to Jack (E), Jemima (I), Bea (J) and Immy (K) for making the final in the county-wide competition.
“What really stood out for me in all of these performances was the depth of commitment to character. Battling against such tough competition from across Berkshire really pushed our pupils to raise their game, and they rose to the challenge superbly.”
