Further Information

What you will do

Over the course of the campaign, you will speak with past pupils in the UK and abroad, who left between 10 and 50 years before you. You will chat with them about your more recent experience of the College and what Bradfield continues to offer them as members of the Bradfield Society.

You will undoubtedly hear all sorts of anecdotes from them in the process as well as learning about their careers, particularly interesting if it happens to be in a field like the one you are considering, and you may well pick up useful careers’ advice.

On the fundraising side, the gifts that you gather will go one of two ways – depending on the donor’s wishes, either towards the St Andrew’s project – converting the church behind Gray’s School into a multi-functional learning space, or to Bright Futures – that fundraises for bursaries which give life-changing opportunities to deserving pupils from low-income families.

By participating in this telethon you will be able to make a real difference to how Bradfield will be for future generations of Bradfieldians.

How it works

Environment

It is a ‘working from home’ campaign, so all you will need is a phone and a laptop and then you can work from the comfort of your own accommodation, which should be quiet and allow you to focus on having great conversations.

Call Schedule

The campaign runs from 6 – 21 November inclusive. If successfully recruited you will receive 2 full days of training and after that calling takes place in the evenings and at weekends. You will also have 2 days off, so there will be plenty of time for study.

  • 10:00 – 17:00 GMT/BST for both training days (Sat 6 & Sun 7 Nov)
  • 18:15 – 20:30 for short shift after second training day (7 Nov)
  • 18:15 – 21:30 GMT/BST for weekday calling
  • 09:45 – 17:00 for Saturday calling (13 & 20 Nov)
  • 13:45 – 20:00 for Sunday calling (14 & 21 Nov)
  • 2 days off (Thu 11 & Wed 17 Nov)

Pay

You will be paid £10 per hour for both training and time on calls, which will earn you £655 and with bonuses available for attendance and good attitude this could increase to £780. Not only is the pay good but this is an activity which looks good on your CV and will help with future job references.

Call Management

We are working alongside Buffalo Fundraising Consultants to run this campaign. Buffalo provides an experienced campaign officer to train and mentor you as a caller and be on hand to help you throughout the calls.
