Bradfield pupils and staff, including the Headmaster, have gamely taken up the ‘Taskmaster 175 Challenge’, to do something fun, quirky or thought-provoking that somehow includes the number 175 and spreads cheer and creates an impact.

Rich Penny, Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Anthony Hough (Director of Estates), having both completed Ironman triathlons in the distant past, came up with the idea of the ‘175 Triathlon’; 175 laps of the College pool, 175km bike and 175 laps of the College track.. an almost unbelievable 500km total distance which they have completed in stages. They set off on their final stage, the run, at 9:45pm on the evening of Tuesday 23 and finished just after 6am the following morning, truly valiant efforts from both men and on top of that they had 9am meetings… watch their video below

Meanwhile, on Thursday 26 June Charlie Sykes, Economics Teacher and soon to be Head of Hillside, cycled a staggering 175km through the hilly Berkshire countryside. Setting off at 6am, it was a tough day facing a strong head-wind on the return leg but he returned to Bradfield for a quick change and looking forward to an evening watching the 175 Gala performance.
